This morning Drake tweeted out the Toronto Raptors new ad titled ‘#WeThe North’.
In this new ad campaign, we find the Raptors embracing being “outsiders”. “We took all the negatives and built them into our campaign,” MLSE CEO Tim Leiweke said. “I know what people say about us. I know they look past us. Great. Do that. We’ll show them.”
Cathal Kelly of Globe and Mail wrote about the ad and noted that the #WeTheNorth campaign was created with close input from Raptors Global Ambassador, Drake.“This is positioning for the future, these are the Drake Raptors,” he said. “I think the whole NBA is changing. The grand powers no longer hold the same allure.”Watch the new ad here.
